BLACKJACK

The basic premise of the game is to make a hand value that is closer to 21 than that of the dealer, without going over 21. Other players at the table are of no concern. Your hand is strictly played out against the hand of the dealer. The rules of play for the dealer are strictly dictated, leaving no decisions up to the dealer. Therefore, there is not a problem with the dealer or any of the other players at the table seeing the cards in your hand.

Each player places a bet, the dealer then deals two cards to each player face up and two cards to the dealer, one face up the other face down. The player then could possibly have five options:

Split

If two identical cards are dealt in your hand, you will have the choice to split them to make two hands; an equal bet to that of your original bet must be placed on the second card, each hand is then played out independently.

Double

This option allows to double your bet; you will receive one more card only.

Hit

When the hit button is clicked, the dealer will deal you another card.

Stand

When the stand button is clicked, your hand will remain the same and no further cards are dealt to that hand.

Insurance

If the dealer turns up an ace in his hand, insurance is offered; you may buy insurance at odds of 2:1 for up to half of your original stake, if the dealers hand reaches blackjack, you will be paid you insurance bet, if the dealer does not reach blackjack, you insurance bet will be lost.
